Schönox Hosts Customers for the Experience of a Lifetime

THE PORSCHE TRACK EXPERIENCE

Florence and Birmingham, AL – May 5-8, 2025 –

Tight project schedules in our industry are around every turn. Modern renovation and construction projects bring together complexities impacting timing and deadlines. Our answer to these complexities was to concentrate on them, developing Need for Speed™ solutions. We recently welcomed customers to Schönox in Florence, Alabama to begin the experience of a lifetime – The Porsche Track Experience. There are a myriad of similarities between Schönox and Porsche® – extensive research and development, innovative technology and engineering, and of course, speed and performance.

Our invitees gathered at the Schönox Florence Support Center on Day 1. Following a welcome from Sika’s Senior Director of Floor Covering / Interior Finishing, Marlène Morin, and from Thomas Trissl, TMT America/Trissl Sports Cars, they were able to learn more about each other, the Schönox team, and our Need for Speed™ subfloor solutions.

Event partner Trissl Sports Cars opened its doors for guests to tour the extensive collection that spans over 50 years and includes over 70 Porsches. They were then able to take the wheel on racing simulators for an introduction to our destination – Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Alabama. Our 30+ customers were ready to take on the real thing during the 2-Day High-Performance Driving Course. Day one began with a brief classroom session. The course is designed to maximize time on the track and develop high-performance driving techniques. Equally important, they’re developed so that new drivers have a great time. They group students according to their experience; introductory courses are perfect for novice drivers looking to get track time behind the wheel of Porsche sports cars and under the guidance of world-class instructors. After two days of fun and learning, students wrapped up the program with thrilling hot lap rides with the instructors.

It was an unforgettable journey that gave me a deeper appreciation for the art of performance driving.”

Another attendee, Ken Clifford, DFS Flooring, offered his assessment, “What a great event, thank you for taking such good care of us. I really enjoyed getting to know some of the other flooring contractors attending and spending time with them. All aspects of the week, presentations at Schönox, meals, accommodations, and hosts, were impressive and very entertaining. It was nice to meet those with Sika and Schönox.”

The Schönox Track Experience provides an extraordinary opportunity to entertain customers, but more importantly, it provides an outlet for strengthening relationships. We’re proud to have hosted an exemplary group of people that happen to also be customers.
