The winners of the HPS Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest™ were announced today during a ceremony at the International Surfaces Event in Las Vegas, Nev. HPS Schönox’s annual Worst Subfloor Contest seeks to answer the question, “What lies beneath?” Many installers face nightmare scenarios when they start a new project. They choose to partner with Schönox materials to tackle those extreme subflooring challenges. They are encouraged to take photos during the process and submit these photos along with description of Schönox products.. . .

The fourth annual HPS Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest kicked off in 2017 asking flooring professionals to consider, “What lies beneath?” It is a question that every installer and contractor must deal with when facing the challenges that come while preparing a subfloor. The most challenging subfloors and the professionals that prepare and renovate them are the features of the contest. Having joined HPS Schönox earlier this year as Regional Business Managers, DJ Gardner and David Zelaya are already making a positive impact in their respective territories within Texas and Oklahoma tackling challenging subfloor issues. “DJ and David brought a strong blend of both business and technical experience to Schönox that allowed them to quickly see the real-world applications for Schönox product technology with quite varied clients and projects,” explained Dave Lepird, Vice President – Business Development, HPS Schönox. “I was not surprised when I saw them solving challenging subfloor issues in the field very early in their tenure with the company.”. . .

David Stowell, the new Technical Director with HPS Schönox, has established a series of priorities with the ultimate objective being quite extensive – universal Schönox product knowledge by anyone working with subfloors. “We have the full range of products to address any subfloor challenge in a manner that is efficient, environmentally sound, and effective for the long term,” explained Stowell. “We need to equip installers, contractors, project owners, and specifiers with the technical knowledge to make informed decisions with their subfloors allowing them to move forward with total confidence.”. . .

Schönox is debuting all new trade show booths this week in Las Vegas at the Surfaces show (booth 4271) and the World of Concrete show (booth S12639). Both booths feature interactive exhibits, demonstration stages, touch-screen displays, and super-large-format screens. The third annual Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest™ opened nine months ago with the startinggun phrase, Worst Case Scenario, You Win! The winners will be announced at the Schönox booth (#4271) during the TISE (Surfaces) trade show on Thursday, January 19th at 11:00am. The Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest™ asks participants to submit entries featuring their most challenging subfloor projects and how they renovated those tough subfloor conditions using Schönox products. The worst subfloor challenges paired with the best renovation performance win. Entries are reviewed and scored by three independent judges and the winners receive a variety of prizes and much deserved recognition for their hard work and professional approach to subfloor preparation.. . .
