The third annual Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest™ opened with the starting-gun phrase, Worst Case Scenario, You Win! The Contest asks participants to submit entries featuring their most challenging subfloor projects and how they renovated those tough subfloor conditions using Schönox products. The worst subfloor challenges paired with the best renovation performance win. Entries are reviewed and scored by three independent judges and the winners receive a variety of prizes and much deserved recognition for their hard work and professional approach to subfloor preparation. . . .

In a ceremony today at the TISE – Surfaces trade show in Las Vegas, the winners of the Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest™ were announced. “The response to the Contest in this our second year for the event has been outstanding with many more entries than last year and such strong support from the flooring industry,” commented Thomas Trissl, HPS Schönox Principal. “I am really impressed by the expertise and dedication demonstrated by all of the installation teams represented in the Contest entries.” . . .

Schönox is introducing a new self-leveling compound that can be used as a top level wear layer as well as a new acrylic adhesive for use with resilient flooring that is moisture resistant. “These new subfloor products from Schönox are part of the company’s comprehensive commitment to research and development examining the needs of the industry and then creating products to solve important and emerging subfloor challenges,” explained Thomas Trissl, HPS Schönox Principal.. . .

Schönox is preparing to announce the winners of its second annual Worst Subfloor Contestat the 2016 TISE (Surfaces) trade show. Back in June of 2015, Schönox announced the beginning of the Contest once again challenging potential entrants with the simple question, Is your company working on a project that has what might be the worst subfloor of the year? A flood of entries began soon thereafter with a significant increase in the number and variety of entries over the prior year. “It has been really exciting to see the growth in the Contest entries and the challenging projects that we have seen addressed by flooring professionals,” explained Thomas Trissl, HPS Schönox Principal. . . .
